Ack... Turns out Frank Darabont producer/showrunner of The hit zombie series The Walking Dead is stepping down as showrunner. As to how this will impact The Walking Dead is unclear but we like Darabont so less involvement of him equals a bad thing in our book.
In case you've been stranded on a desert island with no contact to the outside world for the past year Prometheus is director Ridley Scott's latest (fingers xd) Sci-Fi epic. It's tied into the Alien franchise though nobody really knows how yet. Well it turns out Damon Lindelof and Charlize Theron were at Comic-Con and they've been giving us some more info on the upcoming project. This is one i'm definitely looking forward too
Nooooo! First At the Mountains of Madness and now The Dark Tower has been cancelled by Universal. Damn. It seems the studio execs are being overly cautious in the franchise's they're picking up these days. Sadly we're the ones suffering for it.
The awaited prequel/remake of 1982's The Thing has finally got a trailer out and if that's anything to judge by, the new movie should be stunning. Course trailers always look good so we'll just have to wait till October to find out the truth.
Steven Soderbergh's Soon(ish) to be released virus thriller Contagion has a new trailer out and it looks sweet. Be warned the trailer has spoilers SPOILER! Gwyneth Paltrow dies early on in it.
The movie stars Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Laurence Fishburne, Elliot Gould, Sanaa Lathan plus others. Quite the cast. The movie is currently in production and is scheduled for a 2011 release.
