All of George's friends have decided that it's time to clear the air and have an intervention. With the help of an aid George's life will hopefully find some kind of normality once again and he'll have good relationships with his friends. Well the only thing preventing this is the fact that George has an insatiable appetite for brains... Yes he's a zombie. The young crowd are in for a wild and wacky night as poor George just can't come to terms with things and the end result becomes somewhat less cheersome than they'd hoped for.
George: A Zombie Intervention is definitely one movie that has an overtly over the top, tongue in cheek attitude. It's really quite unique, you don't see movies like this very often. Is it any good? Well that depends on your sense of humour ultimately, though there are definitely some things going for it.
Firstly, it has buckets of gore which was surprising cause i didn't think it would go down that direction when i initially started watching it. This is definitely not a movie you want to watch when your having your dinner. Though it would be a fun movie to get drunk to i imagine.
This is a comedy so needless to say it's not scary, not at all, though some of the zombies later on are a bit gruesome in a Day of the Dead kind of way.
The movie's cast deliver their characters well i thought, the humour in this flick is very modern-American style, it's reminiscent of sitcoms like Friends, it's got that same goofy humourism laden throughout. Now to be honest i'm not a msssive fan of that kind of comedy but regardless there were a few scenes that had me LOL.
George: A Zombie Intervention does have some nudity but very little sadly and there's no sex, so just to let you know...
I's got a low production value granted but it's strong tongue in cheek, mixed with solid acting make this movie a quality watch. Look out for the small cameo by Troma's Lloyd Kaufman, that guy sure gets around. This one comes recommended, the best drinking movie i've seen for ages!
Who'd have thought a baking tray could be so lethal...
