Somewhat interesting anthology of tales, interlinked by showman Dr Diabolo (played by the wonderful Burgess Meredith, aka the Penguin from the Batman series), and featuring a host of big names such as Jack Palance and Peter Cushing.

Promising to show select visitors to a carnival of torture and execution their own darkest sides, Burgess Meredith makes a wonderfully grinning, diabolical figure in Dr Diabolo, making a great central focal point to proceedings.

Nightmare Alley is an indie anthology movie composed of several short stories revolving around serial killers, cannibalism, zombies and voodoo devil rats... Oh, and repressed homosexuality. It's a movie released through Brain Damage, who doesn't have the most amazing track record at pumping out great flicks, although Nightmare Alley does have some good things going for it.

Dead Teenagers is an anthology movie made up of 4 different tales that involve weird 'psycho' men, vampires, werewolves and ghosts. As a guy is casually perusing the library aisles he stumbles upon a scrapbook that just so conveniently happens to fall on the floor as he's walking by. Curiosity gets the better of him and he decides to read the book at a nearby table. This is the point where we're introduced to the book's 4 main stories and as the reader progresses through, gives us his own over arching story, in typical horror anthology style.

A horror anthology movie that revolves around a little bean sack boy and Halloween, interesting premise but does Trick 'r Treat have any real bite to it? I'll get to that later. The movie is really broken down in 4 separate tales that are joined together by said bean sack boy called Sam.  The stories involve a serial killer, werewolves, ghosts and err... Well i won't spoil the last one. Suffice to to say there is plenty of variation within Trick 'r Treat, some fairly original takes on some classic themes not to mention a pretty flawless production including a cast of some superb actors.
